How does it work?

Firstly, download the signature installer app for Mac OS X HERE. Once downloaded, run it and select your email client and mail account, then insert your signature html file. Our app will then use the signature file to pull in your email signature and install it in your selected email client for you.

Whenever the installer app detects a change to the signature from your ESR dashboard, it will automatically push an update to your e-mail client meaning you'll never have to re-install your signature again.

Which email clients are supported?

  • Outlook for Mac 2016
  • Outlook for Mac 2011
  • Mozilla Thunderbird
  • Postbox

Apple Mail is supported from versions macOS El Capitan 10.11 through to the latest macOS Catalina 10.15.

Installing your email signature

  1. Install the application into your applications folder.
  2. Click the ( + ) icon to add a new email signature to the installer app.
  3. Select your email client.
  4. Select your email account.
  5. (You may be prompted to approve Full Disk Access by your system preferences)
  6. Open system preferences if instructed to do so
  7. Click the lock on the bottom left of your Security & Privacy Tab to unlock to make changes
  8. Click the + button to add the application to the privacy tab
  9. Go to your applications folder in the window that opens
  10. select ERS Signature Installer and quit the application if instructed to do so.
  11. Confirm the application is added to the Security & Privacy tab and is check marked
  12. Click on "use file" to change to "Select you HTML signature file"
  13. Click "Click to select your HTML file" to upload your selected html file.
  14. Click Install Signature.


How to automatically update your email signature

Once your email signature has been installed into the installer app, any changes made to your email signature from the Email Signature Rescue dashboard will automatically be detected by the app and then update within your email client. Depending on which email client the email signature is installed in, you may or may not be prompted to restart your email client.
